Dwayne "The The Rock" Johnson was born 1972 into a family of wrestlers. World Wrestling Entertainment is his business. In the wrestling ring, he competed and took home the W.W.E. In multiple occasions, he was awarded the Heavyweight title. Johnson was later able to turn his wrestler success into a movie career. The year 2001 saw The Mummy Returns was released and in 2010, Tooth Fairy. Later projects included The HBO series Ballers important role for the Fast & Furious franchise and the Jumanji sequels and a part as a voice actor in Maui for the Disney film Moana. What can we say on his birthday except that we're happy to have an actor with the same talent as him. Johnson was born into a family that was wrestling but has since made his name in the game. Johnson was born May 2nd 1972, on the streets of Hayward California. He's the son of pro wrestler Rocky Johnson and his mother Ata. Peter Maivia, the maternal grandfather of Johnson's mother Ata rose to prominence on the world of wrestling in the 60s and 70s. Johnson's youth was spent on the road and watching his father wrestle in the boxing ring. Johnson played football during high school and earned scholarships to attend the University of Miami, where Johnson did well. Johnson earned his Bachelors of General Studies with degrees in the fields of criminology and physiology.
