Annet Mahendru
Mahendru, a Russian-Indian mother is born in Afghanistan. She is fluent in German, Russian, English as well as French Persian and Hindi. Her parents are Russian as well as Indian. When she was 11, she choreographed a performance which earned her a spot on German TV as a graceful Russian snow maiden, who turns into a playful Indian dancer. After high school, she graduated and earned a bachelor's degree from the Department of English from New York. In high school, she attended acting classes at HB but subsequently enrolled in improv classes at Groundlings School. She then played a variety of roles in comedy. Her parents were a Hindu as well as an Indian father Ghanshan K Mahendru. She also had an Indian father, and a Russian mom Olga. The family moved together with their father to New York when she was thirteen year old. She stars in FX's The Americans alongside Matthew Rhys. Her role on FX's The Americans as Nina Sergeevna Krilova is her most notable television performance. The actress also appeared on Fox's The Following and NBC's The Blacklist.
